Maybach is a German lutherie brand of top level, which has made attention to detail and construction refinement its trademark, attributed to models that are defined as historic blike the stratocaster, tele and Les Paul models.

Technical :

The construction follows the standard of Gibson of the golden age:

Body - Two pieces of hand selected mahogany
Pickup - Amber Spirit of 59 Humbuckers
Electronics - 500k CTS potentiometers
A huge plus goes to the electronic section which I consider to be of the highest level, excellent pickups that are managed by top-of-the-range components.

Sound :
Follows a certain type of very bluesy sound and rock and roll years 60 and 70.
The pickups do not have a terrifyingly high output, this is because the guitars of the time did not have a hallucinating output volume compared to today's ones, but it gains in warmth and sound roundness.

Great attack, a particularly polite sound, very interesting, the bridge has a nice presence and a decent attack.

Highly recommended for the typical sound of Cream and ZZ Top, the concept is of a vintage instrument, but also manages to get to more intense timbres with pedals.

Economic Considerations

At +- 2250 EUR average price it's a crazy cheap price for what it offers!
